Good morning. We may have some icy weather heading our way. Hope not. Ice on the roads and trees can be so dangerous. I also have a doctor's appointment in Greensboro this afternoon.
Not much to report. Stayed in yesterday. Richard and I watched on old movie entitled The While Buffalo. I remember watching it on HBO way back in 1978 and simply loving it. Well, times have changed. I'll leave it at that. Charles Bronson was the star.
All right. Have a super day. Stay warm. Over and Out!
Good morning. I'm so happy to be back on the Net. I was going through withdrawals. It seemed there had been a power outage and that had affected the modem and wireless router. They were not accepting my user name and password for my Internet service provider. All is well now.
Yesterday evening was so nice. After being up here most of the day working and worrying over my dilemma, I was able to relax with my friend, Joy, and enjoy some vegan dip and chips, then chilli and cornbread. With wine along the way. We watched several episodes of Cimarron Strip, a western that aired way back in 1967. I'd forgotten all about that show, starring Stuart Whitman, until Joy told me it was being shown on the western channel. Well, I watched one show and was hooked all over again. So I ordered the entire season, only 23 episodes. We had fun.
All right. I need to get busy. Have a wonderful day. Over and Out!
I turned on the computer this morning to find I had no Internet. Still having problems, so while I can, I'm sending a quick blog.
Have a great Super Bowl Sunday. Richard's having some guys over to watch TV down in his man-hole. Joy is coming with Don, and she and I will watch a movie and visit. Richard is making chilli, meat for the fellas, veggie for Joy and Me.
Later. Wish me luck with staying on the Internet. Over and Out!
We're getting a light dusting of snow right now. I've heard that there's a lot of folks without power in Reidsville. We have done fine in that department. And if we were to lose power, we have the mighty built in generator to kick in.
I enjoyed my day yesterday. The snowfall was beautiful. Richard ventured out to go to the grocery store. He didn't really need to, but you know how boys are.
I made a pot of lentil soup, cornbread muffins, and some peanut and honey cookies, all vegan, and all good. In the late afternoon, Dixie and I camped out in front of the fireplace and watched TV.
Today may be more of the same.
So have a lovely Saturday. Catch you later. Over and Out!
It's snowing! 2 and 1/2 inches so far. Really pretty. I think I'll do some cooking today.
Not much else to report. So have a good one. Catch you later. Over and Out!
Wow! What a bunch of hair. No worries. I'm getting a much needed haircut today. Yes!
We had a fairly busy day yesterday. We left the house at 7:45 AM and got back home around 2:30 PM. We found the UNC Dermatology Center without any trouble in Chapel Hill. Dad saw the doctor, who thinks Dad's skin condition is from a disease affecting the hair follicles. A biopsy was done and we now await the test results. It's not curable; it will have to run its course, if that's Dad's condition. But hopefully, something can be prescribed to help.
Around 6:00 PM, we picked up friends, Alice and Terry, and headed into Greensboro to a wine dinner at the Undercurrent Restaurant. That was a lot of fun.
We may be in for some more winter precipitation over the next few days, starting tonight. I'll keep you posted.
Now, it's time to get going. Have a good day. Over and Out!
Good morning. I made it to Burlington just fine yesterday. Most of the roads were clear. My friend, Laura, and I had a wonderful time catching up at Ruby Tuesday's. We stayed for 2 and a half hours. Then I stopped by for coffee with Dad.
We may have another round of winter weather this weekend. OH, man, just checked the weather for today and there's a good chance of freezing rain this morning. Gosh!
Back to editing today. Tomorrow, I won't be blogging. We have to leave early to pick up Dad and take him to Chapel Hill to the Dermatology Clinic.
So have a good day. Stay dry. Over and Out!
I'm taking a trip to Burlington today to have lunch with an old teaching buddy. I shouldn't have any trouble on the road (famous last words). My little car seems to handle the snow just fine. Afterward, I'll stop in and have a cup of coffee with Dad.
So have a good day. Stay warm. It's cold here, around 20 degrees at the moment.
Catch you tomorrow. Over and Out!
This is a view from the other window in my office. We must have gotten at least 6 inches by the end of yesterday. Oh, so lovely to look at.
Don and Joy drove down for a nice visit and a bite of pizza last evening. They are coming back this afternoon as well. Don and Richard are going to watch fishing shows down in Richard's den, while Joy and I watch a movie. Nice.
So have a great Sunday. See you in the morning. Over and Out!
It's snowing! May continue all day. Beautiful! We already have several inches, probably a good 5 or so.
And I am a dope of a wife. Richard's birthday is not today, it's tomorrow. I'm always wanted to thinking it's on the 30th of January, instead of the 31st. Geez.
All right. Have a good day. I'm going to sit back and enjoy the view across the lake. Over and Out!
