Saturday, oh, Saturday!
Yea, it's Saturday. Wonderful! Here's hoping yours is great. I will do a bit of housework, then exercise. I'll be glad when the ground is dry enough to go walking. I am missing it, as are Dixie and Jessie.
This evening, we are going out to dinner with our friends, Don and Joy. We'll be dining at Green's Supper Club.

It's Friday. I'll be on the road.
I love Maxine. Thought I would use this animation of her to indicate my being on the road today. My shopping has put me in the Christmas mood.
Yesterday went as I expected. I had a nice time at the computer in the morning. Then, I exercised: weight training. Man, now, that's work! Afterward, Richard and I took off for a nice lunch at Chaney's before hitting the grocery store. I'm all ready for my wee Thanksgiving dinner with my family on Saturday.
Today, I head to Burlington to visit Dad and take him to a doctor's appointment. I may stop by Joy's on the way home. I've not seen her or Jessie all week.

Thursday with more rain
Another rainy day. Goodness, I'm never going to get out to walk the dogs. There's a 77% chance of wet stuff today.
I still have a ways to go on my Christmas shopping but I have made a mighty dent! I think I'm going to take a break and piddle at the computer for a while this morning. Later, I'll exercise. Then, Richard and I will take off for a bite of lunch at Chaney's before hitting the grocery store. I have my menu all planned out for Thanksgiving with my family. We'll be gathering on Saturday. It appears there will only be 4 of us: my dad and sister, Richard and me.

More shopping
Good morning. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.
I was able to make a nice dent in my Christmas shopping yesterday. I'm jumping in again today. I'll have to cut my morning short though. I have an appointment with my massage therapist at 1:00 pm. I think I need to see her. I am having a hard time lately with the blues. They come and go. Here I go, sounding like an old record again, but it's mostly over missing Jessie. I want things back the way they were, which I can't have. I get in a good, hard cry everyday, and that seems to help. Okay, enough of that.

Feeling good, feeling fine
Good morning. I begin my online Christmas this morning. Yea! I love this time of year. I am already listening to Christmas music on my computer. I'll get the house decorated as soon as Thanksgiving is over. Love it! Love it!

Time to start Christmas shopping
I love this pic! Today, I will begin working on Christmas gifts. Yes, I like to start early.
Debbie is still here. She will leave sometime this morning. It's been so nice having her with us again.
Back to Christmas. I will print out my list of folks and begin browsing through some catalogs, getting ideas. I do all my shopping online. All of it! So this is fun for me.

Enjoying the weekend
Good morning. We are enjoying having Debbie here. The three of us have been talking nonstop. Last night, we took her to Yancey House for dinner. Mr. Willis, the owner, came and sat at our table and told us about the ghosts who dwell there. Debbie loved that! Today, we plan to go see Chinqua Penn Plantation.

Company for the weekend
Debbie is coming from Georgia for he weekend. She should arrive around 1:00 pm. We are so looking forward to her arrival. We haven't seen Debbie in 2 years. We'll have fun.
Yesterday, Joy and I traveled into Greensboro for shopping and lunch, like I previously stated. We had a lovely time. Fleet Plumber was all decorated for Christmas. They have so much stuff! I picked up decorative plates and napkins for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then we took off for Elm Street Village for lunch. After that, we stopped by the Harris Teeter in the village for supplies. I wish there was a HT here.

Shopping today
It's still cold and rainy but should improve as the day goes on. Joy and I are heading into Greensboro this morning for a bit of holiday shopping and lunch. I want to visit a store called Fleet Plumber. It was once a hardware store, but now, oh, my! Holiday items galore. Scented candles, clothes, jewelry, dinnerware, and on and on. I want to purchase holiday plates, napkins, and place mats. I also want to just look around. We'll have fun.

No editing today
Good morning. Richard and I have an appointment in Greensboro this morning. It's going to be another rainy day. Yesterday, I returned from my haircut appointment to discover a huge tree blocking the gravel road leading to my house. It had taken down power lines as well. Richard and Dixie were doing fine at home. We had a wonderful built-in generator that kicked in as soon as the lights went out. But I couldn't get to them for the next 3 hours. This all happened because of heavy rains. We will have more today. Anyway, I was able to turn my little car around so I drove to Joy's. She was just getting home. I visited with Joy and the dogs until Richard called and gave me the thumbs up.
