Shopping with Richard.
Good morning. I had NO trouble logging on today. Hope it stays that way.
I am dragging Richard with me this morning to shop for new mattresses for the guest bedrooms. We think we can find what we need right here in Reidsville. Wish us luck. Hopefully, we won't buy any bedbugs to go along with them.
Later, Joy and I plan on getting together for a visit. We are trying to do lunch together. She is attending a doctor's appointment for her mom and doesn't know how long it will take. Either way, we will get together.

Could not log onto Bravenet!
I finally discovered that I had issues logging onto Bravenet because of my computer. I hope I have it straightened out now. If I'm late tomorrow, you will know why.
Today, I go visit Debbie for my bi-monthly massage/reflexology. Yea!
That's about it. I have spent the morning trying to figure out the problem with Bravenet. Reading lots of forums. TCP repair seems to have done the trick. But I will have to wait and see.

More rain!
Yep, more rain today. We had a nasty thunderstorm late last night. Had to put Dixie's thundershirt on her. This time, it helped quite a bit. looks like she will be wearing it at some point today as well.
I have no plans on going anywhere, so bring on the wet!

Another rainy Monday!
That's right. More rain today.
We had a good time at Gracie's yesterday. But she has lost several pound since I last saw her. Really, really frail. But she ate fairly well. We had pizza. Grace is 88 now. I noticed also that she had some memory issues too, like not being able to remember her great-granddaughter's name. I'd never known that to happen before. I feel my MIL is being to wind down. Sad, but such is life. I'll be shopping online today for some slippers for her. Grace is now having trouble getting on regular shoes and tying them. I hope she has a good day today. Debbie, her longtime housekeeper will be with Grace today.

A pretty Saturday
Looks like it's gonna be a nice day today. The high temperature should reach 75. Lovely.
Tomorrow being Mother's Day, I have had Mom on my mind this week. She was a sweetie. We kids miss her.
This evening, Don and Joy are coming for dinner. We look forward to that. A nice, relaxing evening with friends. Yea!

Lunch with Cousin!
I'll be off to Burlington today to have lunch with cousin, Colleen. Fun, fun!
This hopping cardinal represents the female species who has suddenly taken up pecking at the windows of the sunroom. She is relentless! She and Dixie have been going nose to nose at times, with the window pane in between. This gal shows almost no fear of our big gal. It's amazing. Wonder what she is up to.

Earth Fare Day!
Today looks great outside. The sky is clear, the temperature should reach into the low 70's. I will be taking my weekly trip to Earth Fare.
Yesterday, we had a great time visiting with our friend, Debbie. We met at the Battle Branch Restaurant for some good country cooking. Then, we drove the short distance to Westbend winery for a tasting of wine and beer.
Just as we were finishing up, the bottom fell out of the sky. Terrible, heavy rain, which continued all the way home, an hour and a half drive. Poor Richard was beat from the experience. We were so happy to get back.

Yakin Valley
Richard and I are meeting up with our old pal, Debbie, this morning in the Yakin Valley area for lunch and a visit to one of our favorite wineries, Westbend. We have not seen Deb over a year. Really looking forward to it.

To Saxapahaw I go!
This morning, I am returning to the area where I grew. I will be visiting my Aunt Ruby, who was married to my Uncle Wade, pictured here with Dad ( wearing cap). Her house is only a short distance from the one I called home. Aunt Ruby has been ill of late. I felt a strong need to see her. On my way out, I'll stop by the cemetery as well.
